Education is a very critical part of our philosophy at Perfect Stride. As the saying goes, \u201cknowledge is power\u201d and we could not agree more. Information is easier to obtain than ever before but how do we make sense of all of this information that is at our fingertips? There is a lot of misinformation that is being spread about movement, injury and rehab, and this can greatly hinder your recovery and increase your likelihood of injury in the future.\u00a0<\/p>

This gross misinformation campaign is very widespread and includes statements such as: pronation is bad \u2013 the knee extension machine is bad for your knees \u2013\u00a0 you shouldn\u2019t bend your spine \u2013 you shouldn\u2019t let your knees go over your toes \u2013 your pelvis\/spine is out of alignment \u2013 you have to keep your spine straight when you lift \u2013 your posture is causing your pain \u2013 all pain is bad so don\u2019t move if you have pain \u2013 you should avoid the position that you got injured in \u2013 your MRI\/x-ray findings define you and your pain experience \u2013 your disc slipped \u2013 running is bad for your knees and back\u00a0 These statements, along with many others, can be damaging to your health and performance.<\/p>

While there may be a place and time to observe some of these statements, it rarely (if ever) should be considered an absolute truth. This is why we know that education is the single most important component of your successful movement journey.
